Internship Opportunities
To reinvest YAI/NIPD Network's almost 50 years of experience in a new generation of professionals, we offer a variety of internship programs in the field of developmental and learning disabilities. YAI/NIPD Network internships provide individuals with hands-on experience, supportive supervision, and state-of-the-art training in many exciting fields.
If you are an undergraduate or graduate looking to meet specific educational requirements in health and human services, or you are interested in gaining practical experience, at YAI/NIPD Network you can get the exposure you need. All majors will be considered, including Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education, and Sociology. Internships are available for credit or life experience. Candidates do not have to be students to be interns.
Interns can also train in one of our administrative departments (Research, Professional Information, Human Resources, Special Events, Fundraising/Development, Office Management) and obtain the skills needed to become successful in the social services/not-for-profit field. In New York City, we offer internship opportunities in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens. Additional internships are located in Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland Counties in New York, as well as Bergen County, New Jersey.
